Before we compile and build the bytecode, we start by doing a syntax check to verify our source is valid and free from errors.
» Press F11 or click the menu item Compile > Syntax Check.
If any errors are found they will be presented in the Error Log. Our example does not contain errors, but feel free to make a simple change to create an error. If an error is presented in the Error Log try double-clicking the error to jump to the error location.
When the source does not contain any errors you can create the bytecode.
» Press Ctrl+F11 or click the menu item Compile > Compile + Build.
This will compile the source code into bytecode, which is currently only stored in memory. Later we will compile the bytecode to a file.
